  • Account information — if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture

We and our third-party partners may automatically collect:

  • Device information — device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers
  • Crash logs — technical data about app crashes and errors
  • Usage analytics — which features you use, session duration, and interaction patterns

2.3 Purchase Information

Subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not collect, process, or store your payment card details or billing information.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your personal data (journal entries, mood data, pledges) is stored locally on your device. If you sign in with an account, your data may also be synced to Firebase Realtime Database to enable cross-device access.

We implement industry-standard security measures, including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and Firebase security rules, to protect your data. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Your locally stored data remains on your device until you delete the app or clear its data. Cloud-synced data is retained as long as your account is active.

You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at info@shiningmuffin.com. We will process your request within 30 days and confirm deletion by email.

7. Children's Privacy

Calm Urge is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
