  • Daily pledges — wellness intentions you set each day related to your emotional health
  • Difficulty and harm tracking — self-reported difficulty levels and harm status related to your well-being

All health data is stored exclusively on your device and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party. This data is used solely within the app to provide you with its core wellness features, including mood tracking charts, daily check-in summaries, and journaling. We do not collect, sell, or share your health data with anyone.

2.2 Account Information

If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. This information is used solely for authentication purposes.

2.3 Information Collected Automatically

We and our third-party partners may automatically collect:

  • Device information — device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers
  • Crash logs — technical data about app crashes and errors
  • Usage analytics — which features you use, session duration, and interaction patterns
  • Advertising identifiers — used to serve relevant ads (where applicable)

2.4 Purchase Information

Subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not collect, process, or store your payment card details or billing information.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Process and display your health data (mood, feelings, journal entries) locally on your device to deliver the app's core wellness features, including mood tracking charts, daily check-in summaries, and journaling

  • Display advertisements to support the free version of the app

Important: Your health data (mood, feelings, journal entries, pledges) remains on your device at all times. It is never sent to our servers, never used for advertising targeting, and never shared with any third parties.

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Your locally stored data remains on your device until you delete the app or clear its data. Cloud-synced data is retained as long as your account is active.

You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at info@shiningmuffin.com. We will process your request within 30 days and confirm deletion by email.

7. Children's Privacy

Calm Urge is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
